CLASS DESCRIPTION :

This class investigates the destructive effects of nuclear weapons.
Students will learn:
How weather and geographical factors (e.g., land contours) affect the migration of radioactive fallout. The range of probability of weapon lethality with variation in overpressure. The value of computer models for making predictions of weapons effects, and the extreme hazard of nuclear weapons as a weapon of mass destruction.
